Mr. Gula is an Associate at OpenGate Capital and assists in due diligence, transaction execution and portfolio management. Before joining OpenGate, he was an Analyst in the Leveraged Finance group at BMO Capital Markets, where he focused on the origination, structuring and execution of high yield and leveraged loan financings for leveraged buyouts, acquisitions, and recapitalizations. Mr. Gula began his career as an Associate in the Transaction Services practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he specialized in valuation analyses including business enterprise valuations, goodwill impairment tests and purchase price allocations.
Mr. Gula received his B.S. in Analytical Finance and M.S. in Accountancy from Wake Forest University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
